Norse Atlantic Airways Launches low-cost direct flights between London and Cape Town

Norse Atlantic Airways announced a new direct flight route between London Gatwick Airport and Cape Town, starting on 28 October 2024, just in time for the December holidays.
This service will make it easier and cheaper for South Africans and other travellers to travel between London and South Africa for work, to visit family or to travel to South Africa since it offers same-day direct flights (inbound) or overnight between the two cities (outbound). Only British Airways and Virgin Atlantic currently offer direct routes between South Africa and the UK, but at a premium price.
Flight Schedule and Times
The flights will operate three times a week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays .
Flight Timings
Outbound Flights: Outbound flights will depart London Gatwick Airport at 20:00 in the morning, arriving in Cape Town at 09:30 the following morning.
Inbound Flights: Inbound flights will depart Cape Town at 11:45 am, landing back at London Gatwick at 21:35 the same day.
This schedule is designed to provide travellers with ample time to enjoy Cape Town and South Africa, whether for business or pleasure.

Light: The value option for budget-conscious travellers. No meal, and only hand luggage of 10kg.
Classic: A mid-range option providing additional perks that include one meal and checked luggage up to 23kg.
Flextra: The premium choice that includes maximum baggage allowance of 23kg, one meal service, and increased ticket flexibility and priority boarding.
Premium Light, Classic and Flextra include 2 meal services, 15kg hand luggage, a checked bag and priority boarding and priority check-in. Premium Flextra allows 2 checked luggage items per person.
Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Norse Atlantic exclusively operates Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, renowned for their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort. With each seat featuring a personal entertainment system, travelers can enjoy a relaxed and enjoyable flying experience.
Cabin Options
Norse Atlantic offers two cabin choices: Economy and Norse Premium. The Norse Premium cabin boasts an impressive 43-inch seat pitch and 12-inch recline, ensuring passengers arrive at their destination feeling refreshed and ready to explore.
